Special Session Organizers
Objectives and topics
Multimodal medical image analysis has become a pivotal area in computational medicine, aiming to leverage the complementary information from various imaging techniques such as MRI, CT, PET, Ultrasound, and Histopathology. With the advent of AI and deep learning technologies, particularly Vision Transformers, cross-modal fusion networks, and self-supervised learning, integrating data from multiple imaging modalities is revolutionizing diagnostic accuracy, treatment planning, and patient monitoring.
This special session aims to highlight cutting-edge developments in multimodal image analysis, focusing on innovative algorithms, clinical applications, fusion strategies, and the role of AI in addressing the challenges of heterogeneity, alignment, and interpretability across imaging modalities.
The scope of this special session includes, but is not limited to the following topics:
- Multimodal data fusion techniques in medical imaging
- Vision Transformers and hybrid deep learning architectures for multimodal analysis
- Self-supervised and contrastive learning in medical image integration
- Cross-modality image registration and alignment methods
- Multimodal disease classification and segmentation
- Explainability and interpretability in multimodal image models
- Applications in oncology, neurology, cardiology, and orthopedics
- Benchmark datasets and standardized evaluation protocols
- Real-time and edge-based multimodal imaging solutions
- Challenges in clinical translation and deployment
