Objectives and topics

The session aims to explore how Artificial Intelligence can enhance accessibility and foster inclusive digital transformation. It focuses on AI-driven methods, tools, and case studies that reduce digital exclusion, improve usability, and create inclusive environments for people with diverse needs (e.g. persons with disabilities, seniors, linguistic minorities). The goal is to bring together researchers and practitioners from AI, accessibility, and digital systems to exchange ideas, present solutions, and shape the future of inclusive digital transformation.

The scope of this special session includes, but is not limited to the following topics:


  • AI and Machine Learning for assistive technologies
  • Natural Language Processing for inclusion (sign language translation, simplified language, speech-to-text)
  • Computer Vision for accessibility (image description, navigation aids, object recognition)
  • Multimodal Human–Computer Interaction and inclusive user interfaces
  • Accessibility evaluation and compliance checking with AI
  • AI in education and learning technologies for diverse learners
  • Smart Cities and accessible digital public services
  • Digital twins and accessibility in Industry 4.0 and 5.0
  • Ethical and societal aspects of AI for accessibility
  • Case studies of AI systems supporting accessibility in healthcare, culture, and government services
