Objectives and topics

In the realm of artificial intelligence, smart technologies, and information systems, the landscape is in a constant state of evolution. They are advancing towards more intricate and refined forms of augmenting human intelligence and enhancing decision-making models. This progression demands the incorporation of progressively sophisticated tools and techniques for knowledge representation, management, and discovery at their core.

These challenges traverse a wide spectrum of research domains, encompassing the refinement of knowledge representation, the seamless integration of information, the artful management of knowledge, the intricate processes of information handling, the subtle nuances of knowledge discovery, the seamless delivery of insights, and the dynamic evolution of knowledge, as well as the fine-grained intricacies of knowledge distribution.

The goal of this special session is to delve into the recent strides made in methodologies and algorithms within smart systems, as applied to tangible engineering dilemmas in the real world. We extend an open invitation for papers from all branches of smart systems and information systems, provided they hold a substantial component on the afore mentioned fields. As such, this distinct session seeks to unite a diverse community of researchers, scientists, engineers, professionals, and academics across various disciplines, with the aim of consolidating existing practices and proposing novel techniques. We wholeheartedly welcome papers that expound upon original work concerning algorithms, tool design, implementation, and real-world applications.

Extended versions of selected papers will be considered for publication in the International Journal of Cybernetics and Systems.
