There are several options for traveling to Kitakyushu City. You can use Kitakyushu International Airport, Fukuoka International Airport, Kansai International Airport, Chubu International Airport, or Tokyo Haneda/Narita International Airport.
Kitakyushu International Airport and Fukuoka International Airport are the closest airports to Kitakyushu City. It takes approximately 40–60 minutes from these airports to reach the city by limousine bus or Shinkansen (super express train).
(A) From Kitakyushu Airport from the venue
When flying into Kitakyushu Airport from Tokyo Haneda Airport, take a limousine bus to the Kokura Station terminal. The center of Kitakyushu is referred to as the Kokura district. Most limousine buses stop at Kokura Station, which is also the final stop, making it easy to reach. The conference venue, the Kitakyushu International Conference Center, is just a 10-minute walk from the station. Even in the rain, you won't need an umbrella, as the pedestrian paths are covered with roofs.
(B) From Fukuoka International Airport to JR(Japan Railway) Kokura Station
You can use the subway, JR, taxi, or Shinkansen trains from Fukuoka International Airport to Kokura Station. If you arrive at the International Terminal, move first to the Domestic Terminal using a free "Shuttle Bus" between international and domestic terminals.
