The computer vision combined with artificial intelligence has been created to better serve the increasing needs of the people. These kinds of computer vision have been applied in a wide range of areas such as surveillance systems, medical diagnosis, intelligent transportation system, and further on cyber-physical interaction systems. As a technological discipline, computer vision seeks to apply the theories and models of computer vision to the construction of intelligent systems. Research on computer vision and intelligent systems are concerned with the theory and technology for building artificial systems that obtain information from vision perception to semantic understanding, automatics, cyber-physical interaction.
The CVIS2024 Special Session at the 16th Asian Conference on Intelligent Information and Database Systems (ACIIDS2024) is devoted to the methods addressing image processing, object classification, behaviors prediction and understanding, scene reconstruction, robot design, robot kinematics, dynamics control, system integration, artificial intelligence, distributed and cloud robotics, bio-inspired systems, service robots, robotics in automation, biomedical applications, autonomous vehicles, robot perception, sensor information, multimodal interface, human robot interaction, and their application to intelligent systems. This special session aims to bring together researchers and developers with all these different backgrounds to discuss and exchange new ideas and the latest achievements in computer vision and intelligent systems publish recent advances in this area.
