Objectives and topics
Digital technologies represent a long-term vector of human civilization development. They are based on two key factors - speed and versatility, which makes them applicable in almost any sphere of human activity. The information collection and processing system, which is based on data encoding and unification, makes it possible to process a large number of operations in a short period of time. Digital technologies have also found their application in modern sports and healthcare - the analysis of an athlete's behavior and monitoring of his activities allow using all the most modern developments and products, from nanoelectronic elements to the latest innovations in molecular biology. IT technologies in sports and healthcare make it possible to effectively organize the process of training, rest and recovery, reduce the time for rehabilitation after injuries, create a more effective barrier to the spread of doping.
Nowadays, innovative ideas and practices are used to improve the state of sports and physical education. With the health and wellbeing of people now considered paramount in the world of sport, new smart technologies may be able to meet these emerging needs. The aim of this section is to focus on innovative developments in sports technology and healthcare. Articles devoted to this topic, especially those that give a new idea of their use for innovative technologies that allow the widespread use of sports and medical equipment, are welcome.
We would like to offer an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to identify new promising research directions as well as to publish recent advances in this area. The scope of the STSH 2022 includes, but is not limited to the following topics:
- Impact of digitalisation, technology and metrology on the sports practice and athletic performance
