Objectives and topics
IoT technologies are now fundamentally changing the world. IoT is greatly presented by the enormous quantity of heterogeneous networked embedded devices that generate intensively large amount of data. Devices must evolve into something more complex in order to fulfill a technically and economically viable role in the IoT environment. Concept of widely used smart sensors has become a solution to the expectations to improve manufacturing, more integration and built-in intelligence of IoT devices. The new developed Big Data technologies can handle many challenges that face data analysis and have the ability to extract valuable information. The capabilities of the smart IoT and Big Data technologies help optimize costs in healthcare and smart cities. The SIOTBDTA 2022 Special Session at the 14th Asian Conference on Intelligent Information and Database Systems (ACIIDS 2022) is devoted to discussing smart IoT and Bid Data technologies in healthcare and urban infrastructure. We want to offer an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to identify new promising research directions as well as to publish recent advances in this area.
The scope of the SIOTBDTA 2022 includes, but is not limited to the following topics:
- Algorithms, Models, Applications, and Services for Big Data
- Applications, Services, and Implementations for the Internet of Things
- IoT and Big Data Analytics for Smart Cities
- Big Data in Smart Cities: Current Research and Challenges
- Engineering Applications on Intelligent Control Systems
